Knife Safety

  1. Keep your knife sharp, it will be easier to handle that way

  2. When using always cut away from yourself

  3. Always close when you pass the knife

  4. Walk with your knife closed

  5. Your knife should be closed when you are not using it

  6. Obey all regulation where you are going

  7. Never throw a knife

  8. Never strike your knife against another tool

  9. Never use your knife as a prying tool, use the knife as a knife

  10. Keep your knife clean, clean it after you use it (every time)

  1. How to clean

    1. Open all blades

    2. Cover a toothpick with a piece of cloth

    3. Moisten the cloth

    4. Then wipe out the inside of your knife

    5. If blades are dirty or you used them on food then wash like a dish

  1. How to sharpen

    1. Hold your knife against your sharpener(like a rock) at a 30-degree angle

    2. Slice down or make a circular motion

    3. Sharpen both sides

    4. To check see if your knife will shine in light, if it is sharp then it should not shine
